Academy Salons has yet again claimed a top prize in a prestigious hair industry competition, beating stiff opposition in the process. With Academy Esher a deserving winner of Ultimate Salon of the Year 2021 at the Grand Final of the Salon Business Awards held at Quaglino’s in St. James’s London, on July 19th, this is the latest in a long list of accolades.
The Ultimate Salon of the Year award is presented to the salon that excels in every aspect of hairdressing; from creativity and innovation to razor-sharp business acumen. Academy Esher admirably fulfilled all the criteria, standing out amongst 65 elite salons shortlisted as finalists across 11 categories.
In fact, it was a great night for a number of Academy salons, with Academy Claygate joining Academy Esher as runners-up in the Best Team category. Academy Cobham was shortlisted for the Business Salon category, and Academy Weybridge in the Customer Service Salon category.
Fueling ‘Freedom Day’s’ fiesta spirit, the glamorous gathering of UK hairdressing’s finest was both a by invitation in-person awards ceremony, featuring relaxed seating, canapés, bubbles, and Brendan Mills, saxophonist and DJ; and a live-streamed digital event on the Salon Business Instagram channel. Consequently, celebrating the industry’s finest was achieved with considerable flair. Success in the Salon Business Awards brings a host of benefits for the winners and shortlisted finalists, not least a boost in staff motivation, enhanced client loyalty, local and national PR coverage, and other opportunities that arise when you’re a salon that’s been talent spotted.
“What a fantastic live event, held on the first evening we were allowed to go out and socialise en masse, and we all made the most of it! So great seeing the industry’s elite all back in the same room. Having Academy Esher crowned Ultimate Salon 2021 was mind-blowing, especially after the year we’ve all experienced. Congratulations to all the finalists across all the categories, British hairdressing is a success story worth celebrating, and nothing will ever change that.”
